Vitrified tile
Vitrified tile is a type of ceramic tile that has very low porosity. It is often used as an alternative to marble and granite flooring. It is most famous for its water-resistant property and hence finds application outdoors so that it is resistant to water and frost.
It is basically of four types that are as follows:
Soluble salt that is screen printed and polished
The double charge is that they which is given a double layer of pigment while printing. This gives the tile a surface that can handle long wears. Hence, they find application in heavy traffic or commercial areas.
Full body tiles have pigment in the entire thickness of the tile which makes scratches less noticeable.
Glazed tiles are those that have a glazed surface. They are used for artwork and designs of various types.
